The government has taken all preparations to enforce a complete eight-day lockdown in the country from tomorrow to contain the surge of the deadly coronavirus.
As the country is witnessing continued rise in deaths and infections from coronavirus or Covid-19, the government will strictly implement the fresh lockdown.
To this effect, the government has issued a set of rules, which state that all public and private offices will remain closed and operations of public transport on all routes will be off during the lockdown.
The mill and factories have been kept outside of the purview of the 13-point restrictions, according to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday.
FIA asks Jahangir, Ali Tareen to appear before investigation team tomorrow

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned PTI leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen tomorrow to respond to eight questions, with the relevant documents relating to JDW.
A press statement issued by the FIA said that it was investigating the PTI leader on allegations of “criminal breach of trust, financial fraud and money laundering by JDW and its related companies JKFSL & FPML, since August 8 2020”.
The FIA said that it wants to see the “complete inventory, with commercial invoices wherever applicable” of the plant, machinery and equipment, any fixed assets, stores, spares and loose tools and intangible assets owned by JKFSL as of November 20, 2013.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet tomorrow (Tuesday) to sight the Ramadan moon, the committee s chairman Maulana Azad confirmed on Monday.

Geo News, Maulana Azad said the committee had also extended an invitation to Mufti Popalzai to attend the meeting. I pray to God, may we develop a consensus with Mufti Popalzai, he said. If Allah wants, our decision and Mufti Popalzai s about the beginning of Ramadan will be the same, added Maulana Azad.
He reiterated his position that Shariah principles and witness testimonies will determine whether the moon has been sighted or not.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has announced that all state and private banks will remain open tomorrow (12).
In view of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, the Ministry of Public Administration announced that 12 April would be declared as a special public holiday.
